Students evolve in self-discipline which in turn affects every area of their lives. They learn the satisfaction of musical expression and the importance of dedication. Throughout the course of their lessons here, they learn the value of friendly competition and the importance of supporting one another.
Finally, as an added bonus to our students, we use the finest in quality instruments, so that the student will not be barred down by technology.
The Conservatory currently has approximately 400 registered students, 90% of whom are between the ages of 3 & 18. All the students enrolled have the opportunity to perform in both local, and exotic places. As well , there are scheduled recitals every month, as well as Christmas concerts, and much much more. Also, every year, we participate in the regional United Music League (UML) festival. This gives students the opportunity to find out what competition is like. Go to our Performances Page to read more about the exciting things happening at the UCOM.
As an example of some of the highlights, the students of the United Conservatory of Music were the only group invited to represent Canada at Expo '92 in Spain. And were given the extreme honour of performing for Spanish Dignitaries at the Royal Palace .
